Our doctors check eyes, ears, teeth, and gums; listen to the heart and lungs; feel the abdomen and joints; and note any lumps, bumps, or areas of tenderness. Even subtle things, like the way your pet walks into the room or the smell of their breath, can point us toward important answers.

Just as important, it’s also the time when we listen to you. Every concern, question, or “something just feels off” matters, and it all becomes part of the plan we create together.

These tests help us catch problems before your pet shows symptoms, when treatment is most effective and least expensive.

Vaccines

Vaccines protect pets from serious, preventable diseases, but we know many families have questions about what’s truly necessary. Our doctors take the time to walk you through each option, explain why we recommend certain vaccines, and tailor a plan based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and risk factors.

Cane Bay only uses Purevax vaccines for cats. These vaccines are specifically designed to reduce the risk of vaccine-associated injection site reactions and are considered the safest option for cats.

Spay & Neuter Surgery: All-Inclusive Packages

Spaying and neutering are among the most important preventive surgeries in veterinary medicine. They protect against infections and certain cancers, reduce roaming and marking behaviors, and help prevent unplanned litters.

At Cane Bay, these surgeries are never treated as routine. Every patient receives pre-anesthetic bloodwork, IV fluids, pain management, and continuous monitoring by trained staff. Our team follows a Fear Free approach from start to finish—gentle handling, comfort items, and careful recovery support.

What Makes Spay & Neuter Surgeries at Cane Bay Different

Every Spay & Neuter Package Includes

Pre-op bloodwork ($100-$190) is required within 3 months of surgery date to ensure your pet is a good candidate for an anesthetic procedure. This cost is included in the comprehensive surgery package price. Additional charges may apply for pets in heat, pregnant, or with special risk factors.

Questions to Ask Before Choosing a Spay/Neuter Provider:

You may see spay and neuter surgeries offered at a lower cost elsewhere. Price is important, but it’s not the only factor that determines your pet’s safety or comfort. The quality of anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery support can vary greatly from one clinic to another.

Before you make a decision, we encourage you to ask any provider (including us!) these questions:

What’s included in the quoted price?
Are there additional charges for pain medication, e-collar, bloodwork, or monitoring?

What type of pain management do you provide?
A single injection or comprehensive multi-modal protocol?

How many surgeries do you perform per day?
Volume clinics may rush through procedures vs. individualized care.

Will my pet have a dedicated technician?
Or will staff be split between multiple patients?

Dental Care for Cats and Dogs

Dental disease is one of the most common health problems in pets, and it often hides below the gumline where you can’t see it. That’s why every dental procedure at Cane Bay includes full-mouth radiographs and anesthesia, ensuring that we don’t miss anything while your pet stays safe and comfortable throughout the procedure.

Our dentals also include IV fluids, continuous monitoring, and pain management, with extra support for pets who need oral surgery. Because the extent of dental disease and associated treatments can vary so much, we provide a range for typical costs:

Dental extractions are not included in the base cleaning cost. Because every mouth is different, extractions are priced separately and added to your estimate if needed. We’ll explain the findings and review costs with you before proceeding.

Not every visit is routine. When your cat or dog starts vomiting, won’t stop scratching, or suddenly comes up with a limp, you need clear next steps and a plan you can trust.

At Cane Bay, every sick visit starts with a full, hands-on exam, followed by targeted diagnostics so we can move from worry to answers. The examples below show typical diagnostic workups only. Medications and treatments, if needed, are discussed with you after diagnostic results and are not included in these totals.
